Its not on the box and they have put it in a very difficult place to read once you've installed the mobo - on a label on the side of the 24-pin power connector of all places. I can provide all the info MSI want except the CHK number. I also have a problem in registering my product.
If anyone can help me I would be very grateful. This morning I've proved that that was the problem, the only snag being that I just cannot work out how to turn off fan control and I had to set the fans to full speed - and it's noisy!Ĭan anyone advise me how to turn off fan control on the B450 Tomahawk Max? I know fan control is done in the Hardware Monitor section of the Setup Firmware but just how you turn off fan control I have no idea - or even if it can be turned off. During the evening I checked on my husbands PC for possible causes and found that I needed to turn off fan control in the Setup Firmware.
A few minutes later the PC switched itself off and it did this several times before I gave up for the day. However, when I switched on it was ok for perhaps a 1-2 minutes and the cooler fans stopped. I have just rebuilt my PC using a B450 Tomahawk Max mobo, a R圜PU and a Corsair H80i v2 cooler.
